Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation, promotes healing by restoring the body's natural balance of energy. The word "Reiki" comes from the Japanese word "rei" (universal) and "ki" (life force energy). In a standard treatment, Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client who is usually laying on a massage table (however, treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing). Our certified Reiki practitioners channel universal life force energy to clear blockages, restore balance, and promote healing on all levels – physical, emotional, and spiritual.
How do I book a session?
To book an in-person session, please select from our available appointments on the calendar to reserve your time slot. Your appointment time will be reserved for 24 hours from the time of scheduling. A deposit must be made within this 24-hour window to secure your appointment slot. The deposit amount is 25% of your selected session. Deposits can be made via cash, Venmo or Ko-Fi. If a deposit is not received within 24 hours of scheduling your appointment, your session will be canceled and this time will be opened back up for others to reserve.

What is your cancellation policy?
We respectfully request at least 24 hours notice if you cannot join us for your scheduled appointment. We do not provide refunds for cancelled appointments outside of that time frame, or for no show appointments.
What happens if I'm running late to my appointment?
We understand sometimes life happens. If you anticipate that you are going to be late for your scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate and give you a full session, but this may not always be possible. Your service may be shortened to avoid delays for clients coming in after your designated time slot. Appointments missed by more than 15 minutes will need to be rescheduled to ensure the fair treatment of all clients.
How do I prepare for my Reiki session?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment to check in, fill out new client paperwork, breathe, and use the restroom if you need to before the session begins.
Please try to abstain from alcohol before and after your session, as it interferes with energy healing.
Stay hydrated. Drink water throughout the day leading up to your session. Hydration supports the body's natural detoxification process and can enhance the effects of Reiki.
Avoid eating heavy foods before your session. Try to eat lightly before your session to avoid feeling overly full or uncomfortable during the session.
Dress in comfortable clothes, or bring comfortable clothes to change into. You will be laying down fully clothed during the session.
Since shoes are removed during the session, you may want to bring socks so your feet do not get cold.
Come with an open mind and heart.
How can I facilitate the healing process after my Reiki session?
Everyone responds differently to Reiki. Check in with your body and see what it needs.
We recommend drinking plenty of water to help flush out toxins and support your body's energy balance.
Avoid foods like junk food, deep fried foods or foods with excess sugar or salt. Try to avoid caffeine or other stimulants immediately after a session, as they interfere with the relaxation and energy-balancing effect of Reiki.
Take some alone time to integrate everything. Engage in activities that help you feel grounded and connected to your body. Meditate, go for a walk in nature, practice gentle yoga, or take a bath in sea salt or Epsom salt.
Allow yourself time to rest and relax after the session. Try to go to sleep early. It will refresh you and help your body continue clearing your energy.
Observe any shifts in energy, mood, thoughts or reactions in the days to come. You may want to journal your thoughts, feelings, and any insights that you'd like to keep track of. Please feel free to share these with us before your next session!
How many sessions do I need?
You can experience a major shift after just a single session. And sometimes you feel you need to come in for a series of sessions if you're dealing with chronic pain, inflammation or a longstanding mental, emotional or spiritual issue that's been difficult to heal. In our experience, most of our clients feel best after 3-4 sessions. That being said, how often and how many sessions you need truly depends on the individual. Some clients come in once a week, some clients come in once a month, some come once a year, some as needed. You will know intuitively when you need another session. Give yourself a few days after your first session to reflect on how you feel, process any insights that come up and be gentle with yourself, as you allow your body to detox and align.
Is it normal to get emotional after a reiki session?
It's not uncommon for emotions to surface when you're doing energy work. Clients can experience a range of emotions and it's totally natural and healthy as energy is being released. Better out than in. Trapped emotions in the body can create energy blockages and lead to illness and imbalance.
